This may be
Polly Moller's fourth album of original work, but it's the first album
by Polly Moller & Company. Words and music are by Polly (except the
Duran Duran cover), and arranged by the band:

of Stone was recorded, mixed and mastered by Jeff Davis in Lucky Dog
Studio in Eugene, Oregon.
The songs on
this album all explore the theme of confronting limitations -- finding
out that your endurance isn't infinite, and that you have a breaking point.
Each tune, as it grew in Polly's mind, turned out to be about getting
to the limits of one's endurance, and the aftermath of that moment.

the Pacific Ocean."

Soon "
an homage to the song by the Smiths...(Lyrics)
"In this song the
narrator goes to a club and witnesses two guys chatting each other
up. I wrote it after seeing a Theater Rhinoceros performance of
Design for Living by Noel Coward."

"A woman travels
into space to forcibly remove the source of her anguish."

4. "Blood With
Salt "
blood is a hard stain
to get out...(Lyrics)
"This song was inspired
by the scenery along the route taken by the Coast Starlight train
from the Bay Area to Eugene, Oregon."

"It's their best
song, in my opinion, and maybe one of the most beautiful ballads
ever written."

a woman stalks someone
who's done her wrong...(Lyrics)
"How can somebody
go through their normal daily routine after ruining somebody's life?
Inquiring minds want to know."

the Maiden"
same title as the Schubert
piece, but this Maiden is different...(Lyrics)
